PruHealth and Boots Partnership
PruHealth has entered into a health screening partnership with high street chemist Boots.
SME and corporate members and Boots private medical insurance (PMI) customers will be able to undertake health checks once a year in selected Boots stores.
The health checks will consist of a lifestyle assessment, body mass index check, cholesterol and blood pressure measurement, and non-smokers declaration.
They will be carried out by a member of the Boots pharmacy team, who will then give customers advice on how to improve their cardiovascular health and reach their health goals.
Customers will accrue "Vitality points" for having the screening, which could lead to cashback on renewal for group employees or premium reductions for Boots PMI customers.
PruHealth group members will pay £25 for the health check, unless their employer subsidises the fee or has the Personal Health Fund screening option within their policy. Boots Heath Insurance customers will have the check for free once a year.
Nick Read, director of business development and partnerships at PruHealth, said: "Offering access to these services makes it easier for people to take control of their own health and wellbeing and could help them earn rewards at renewal."
Boots agreed a partnership with PruHealth to sell PMI through its 1,500 stores in April this year.
